Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) form a legally binding contract between Vachi Self Storage LLC (“Vachi”, “we”, “our”) and the client (“Client”, “you”). By digitally signing this Agreement through Stora software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out below. This Agreement is enforceable under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

1. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this Agreement, the following definitions apply:
  • Unit means the specific self-storage locker or space allocated to you within Vachi facilities.
  • Agreement means this contract, including any schedules, annexes, amendments, and digital confirmations via Stora.
  • Rent means the monthly fee payable for use of the Unit.
  • Access Hours means twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, except on January 1st and official Eid holidays as proclaimed by the Dubai Government.
  • Abandonment means the status of a Unit where Rent has not been paid for ninety (90) consecutive days.

2. USE OF STORAGE UNIT
You may use the Unit solely for the storage of personal or business items that are lawful under the laws of the UAE. The Unit may not be used as residential accommodation, as an office, or for carrying out any business operations.
The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be stored under any circumstances: perishables or food of any kind, plants, animals, flammable or hazardous materials (including but not limited to fuel, gas cylinders, explosives, corrosives, chemicals, paints, solvents), cash or bearer instruments, illegal goods, stolen property, counterfeit goods, firearms, weapons, ammunition, or any items prohibited under UAE Federal Law.
You agree to comply with all applicable Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence fire safety requirements, and UAE Federal laws regarding the nature and safe storage of goods.

3. RENT AND PAYMENT TERMS
Rent is collected monthly on a subscription basis through Stripe, our payment processor, using the payment method you provide at the start of your storage term. By entering this Agreement, you authorize Vachi to automatically charge your selected payment method on the same date each month until the Agreement is terminated in accordance with Clause 6.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your payment method remains valid, up to date, and has sufficient funds. Any failed payments must be remedied within the seven (7) day grace period to avoid access restrictions.
If payment fails and is not rectified, Vachi may attempt to recharge your card automatically. Continued non-payment for three (3) consecutive months will result in the Unit being deemed abandoned and handled under Clause 7 of this Agreement.
All fees must be paid through the Stripe subscription system or other approved digital methods. Manual payments are not accepted unless explicitly agreed in writing. Applicable VAT under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017 will be added to all invoices.


4. ACCESS AND SECURITY
You are entitled to access your Unit during the Access Hours. Vachi facilities are equipped with CCTV, smoke detection systems, and security measures for general protection. However, Vachi does not warrant or guarantee the absolute security of the facility and shall not be held liable for theft, burglary, unauthorized entry, or loss.
You are responsible for the safekeeping and confidentiality of any access codes, cards, or keys issued to you. Any loss or misuse of access credentials must be reported immediately.

5. INSURANCE
Insurance coverage for goods stored in the Unit is optional but strongly recommended. You are encouraged to purchase premium insurance cover either through Vachi’s offered insurance plan or through a third-party insurer.
Vachi accepts no liability for loss, theft, fire, flood, vermin, mould, accident, or any other damage to goods unless you have purchased insurance that explicitly covers the event.

6. TERMINATION
This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time, provided all Rent and charges are fully paid up to the termination date. You must vacate the Unit immediately upon termination and remove all stored goods.
Any items remaining in the Unit after termination may be removed, sold, donated, destroyed, or otherwise disposed of at your cost, with no liability on the part of Vachi.

7. ABANDONMENT AND LIEN
If Rent remains unpaid for ninety (90) consecutive days, the Unit and its contents will automatically be considered abandoned. Vachi has a contractual lien over all goods stored within the Unit for unpaid Rent and may exercise the right to sell, auction, or otherwise dispose of the contents to recover outstanding sums.
You waive any right to claim compensation or damages for loss of items due to abandonment. Any proceeds from sale of goods, after deducting outstanding Rent and reasonable disposal costs, may be refunded at Vachi’s discretion.

8. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
All goods are stored at your sole risk. Vachi shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage to goods, including loss caused by theft, fire, smoke, explosion, flood, vermin, mould, water ingress, accident, or any other cause, whether foreseeable or not.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vachi, its directors, employees, and contractors against all claims, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Unit, including claims brought by third parties or governmental authorities.

9. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
You must keep the Unit clean, tidy, and free of debris. You must not damage the Unit, its doors, or the common areas of the facility. Any damage caused by you, your agents, or invitees shall be repaired at your cost.
You must comply at all times with UAE fire safety regulations and Vachi’s internal safety protocols. You are responsible for ensuring your goods are adequately packed to prevent spillage, breakage, or damage to neighbouring Units.

10. FORCE MAJEURE
Vachi shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, flood, acts of God, governmental actions, pandemics, strikes, or civil commotion.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 (Civil Transactions Law) and Federal Law No. 6 of 2018 (Arbitration Law), as applicable.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts unless referred to arbitration by mutual agreement.

12. DIGITAL AGREEMENT
This Agreement is digitally signed and executed electronically. It is legally binding and does not require a physical signature. Digital records maintained by Vachi shall be deemed conclusive proof of the agreement and any transactions between the parties.

CLIENT SUMMARY
Before you sign, here is a summary of your key obligations. Rent is paid monthly in advance, and late payments have a seven-day grace period. If you do not pay for ninety days, your storage will be treated as abandoned and cleared out without compensation. You have 24/7 access except on January 1st and official Eid holidays. Vachi provides CCTV and safety systems, but you store at your own risk and Vachi is not responsible for theft, fire, or damage. You cannot store prohibited items including food, plants, hazardous goods, cash, firearms, or illegal items. You may terminate your storage agreement at any time by vacating your Unit and ensuring all fees are paid.
